Here’s a fun fact about me that some of you might not know: I used to podcast and produce podcasts for fun!
Yep. It’s been a few years but boy oh boy, those were great times.
I even have a few future podcasting projects in hibernation mode. But my last podcasting effort?
A little show called Spectrd — and it was all about ghosts.
A little backstory
I love ghosts. I love ghost stories. I love movies about ghosts and haunted places. If it has to do with ghosts, I’m there for it!
So when my friend, Olive, approached me about helping her produce the podcast of her dreams only to find out the subject matter she wanted to tackle was all things ghostly, I couldn’t say no.
The format of the show was structured as informal conversations in which Olive would interview an invited guest to speak about their ghostly experiences. The basics were always covered: the who, the where, the when, etc. But Olive always put a gloriously grounded spin to these otherworldly personal stories. Which is why the tagline of the show became:
A podcast where ghost stories are human stories.
And for a variety of reasons, the show ended after just 5 episodes.
I recently found out, much to my surprise, that all 5 episodes are still up and streaming in a few places!
So without further ado, I invite to you to listen to the show. Some of you already have, but if you are a first time listener, I hope you enjoy it!
Below you will find links and episode descriptions to all 5 episodes that were recorded, edited, and published by yours truly. Let me know in the comments if you find the show on another platform! (I have not checked myself, actually.) Or just let me know what you thought about the show. I welcome any and all feedback!

Episode 04: I’ll Be Seeing You
“In this episode, Olive welcomes Lauren to the show. They discuss what it's like dealing with loss, skeptics, and living in historic New England. No spoilers here but please be sure to have a listen to Lauren's incredible stories!”
Episode 05: The Blue Bookcase
“Olive ends the first season of Spectrd on a sweet note. She chats with her final guest, Rae, about their childhood, broadening the idea of perception, and how they plan on haunting their partner. Thank you for listening and see you next season!”
This post is little bit of a departure from my usual content but it was such a fun project and I feel it shines more light on how deep my interest in “all the things we don’t talk about” runs. It was always baffling to find out that our guests on the show rarely talked about their experiences with entities beyond the veil.
Let’s talk more about our stories, everyone. They are strange, unnerving at times but make life so much richer. Don’t you think?
Hope this October is turning out to be a spooky one for you and your families!
With cariño,
Maribel
